Nelson Hill Garman, an MBA graduate and author of The Power Triangle, has spent over a decade of her career helping organizations and individuals reach their strategic and personal goals.
Using The Power Triangle system, Nelson trains and consults organizations on how to develop leaders who can identify and implement opportunities for innovation, cultivate leadership qualities in their teams, and productively remove barriers to achieve business goals and collaborative and creative work environments.
In addition, Nelson conducts one-on-one coaching programs for women, across the country, who want to make professional or personal changes. She believes that individuals have the option to create their lives versus defaulting into them. “Change is not brought around by luck or being at the right place at the right time, change happens when you commit to doing the work.” Says Nelson. In her coaching, she helps women to identify what they want, the path to getting it, and the innate power that lies within them to obtain it.
In addition to utilizing The Power Triangle system in her work, Nelson uses the foundation of Presence – values, courage, awareness – with organizations to improve performance for employees and increase productivity for employers. For individuals, the Presence model helps develop growth habits and attitudes that lead to desired outcomes professionally and personally.
Nelson is a strategic marketer by education, yet she has honed her skills as a global leader in both public firms and small entrepreneurial organizations. She now consults, coaches and writes full-time. In her career, Nelson has worked internationally which has given her a deep understanding of corporate cultures across the globe. She’s passionate about helping women find their footing to stride into their futures.
Nelson has completed two marathons: the first in Philadelphia, PA, and the second in London, England. She has participated in two triathlons in Massachusetts. She has served on the board of the World Affairs Council, the Torch Club and Maine Women’s Network.
